CHRISTMAS
Is Christmas just a time of goodwill and cheer?
The singing of carols and songs we love to hear?
Is Christmas a time when we are all in such good moods?
When we eat our roast turkey and such lovely foods?
Is Christmas the cakes, pies, pudding with nuts, fruit and cherry?
When families gather to laugh, sing, dance and be merry?
Is Christmas the trees, tinsel, lights, presents with pretty bows,
The fun in the sun, walking in the rain or a snowman where it snows?
Is Christmas the bubbly champagne or sparkling wine?
When we toast and say our well wishes with those we dine?
Christmas, who will remember why we celebrate?
It’s the birthday of one so good, so glorious, so great.
Christmas, it’s the Christ, the Saviour, the King whom we adore
Our God, our Lord, our Master and our Friend forever more.
(This Poem I wrote when I saw how the meaning of Christmas was lost to the world especially when "Christ" was taken out of Christmas and became "Xmas")
